Your wrinkles are snitches!
We’re talking about Peptides… and stuff! |

Your wrinkles are telling on you! |
It’s easier to be intentional when you know what’s going on… right? |
~ Eudora Welty
As a licensed beauty professional I am often asked my opinion about certain products that are purchased over the counter. And it is because these items are so diluted it takes a lot, over a period of time, for the effects to show.
Which is why I tell you all to drink water… lol. No, but seriously… you really should drink the recommended amount of water daily per your body weight.
And let me tell you why… The body’s number one function is to dispel waste. Your Govi is a masterpiece of organisms all in agreeance on one thing 👉🏾 to stay alive. So if you choose not to honor your vessel with what it needs in order to ensure longevity, the structure will fail.
Ya understand what I’m sayin’?
Back to what I was sayin’ tho…
Over the counter products are usually “watered down” so that the company can maximize profits. But when you either buy directly from the distributor or are able to find someone with a small business, whom you trust, you’ll come out on top… most times.
In understanding who you are talking to, I am a professional so I make the majority of my purchases from distributors (because I love the way exclusivity feel. AND I am able to provide my clients with the best), small businesses, or I craft it myself.
I have found I cannot replicate peptides on the stove 🧐 but it’s best to tell you what they are and why your wrinkles are snitches.
Peptides are comprised of amino acids all stringed together. Amino acids are the foundation of both peptides and protein, which are essential for the body as in
- Energy production
- Immune function
- Tissue growth
- Muscle repair
Are you beginning to see where I am going with this?
When you have a string of highly functioning amino acids all in cahoots, and in service to your Govi, you have a system that will tell the cells in your Govi to produce more collagen and elastin. Collagen, as you may already know, is a type of protein which supports the skin.
Are you wondering 💭 “What in the heck is elastin?”
Elastin is found in the dermis (the thick layers of living tissue that forms the “true skin”) and is the potent component of elastic connective tissue.
Point blank, elastin and collagen are fibers that make up the supporting structure of the skin.
Which are comprised of…. what?🎉🎉Peptides🎉🎉 It’s easier to be intentional when you know what is happening behind the scenes. 😉
Let’s get those wrinkles in check!
Secretly we all desire to slow down the aging process. I mean, our bodies are literally working in order to stay alive. I am going to share a product with you on Thursday that will contain peptides but I want you to engage with foods that naturally produce the things we need to remain beautifully amazing 🥰
I can only share with you what I know works 🤷🏾♀️
- Eggs
- Milk
- Fish and Shellfish (I don’t eat meat)
- Hemp seeds
- Flaxseeds
- Beans & Lentils
A few of you have asked me why I take milk baths (because I don’t drink milk) and now you know! 😎
☕️
Coffee spelled backwards is eeffoc!
So just know I don’t give eeffoc until I’ve had my coffee 🥴
It’s important to know that there are some peptides that build and some that preserve.
We are expanding on preserving, specifically in diminishing those fine lines and nourishing your skin.
I have been engaging in a skincare regimen since I was a teenager because acne does NOT play with this oily skin I have. Overtime, and with trial and error, I have been able to support my beauty routine by knowing what works.
These are the basics I am sharing with you so that you are more aware of what matters in maintaining healthy youthful skin.
- Egg washes are good for your face and hair
- Milk baths are also beneficial
Benefits of using a skincare regimen with peptides.
- Smoothing of skin
- Firming of skin
- Reduces inflammation (which causes black heads/ pimples)
- Locks in hydration
- Improved skin barrier
Got it!?
Ok… enough about peptides I want to tell you about something else that supports and nourishes your skin…
Ready??
☕️Caffeine☕️
But you’re not going to drink it. 💭Although that doesn’t sound like a bad idea right now… but let’s keep going.
When you apply caffeine on the skin, as in wearing a mask or through products, it tightens blood vessels in the area which reduces puffiness. Because caffeine constricts it reduces wrinkles and smoothes away cellulite on the body.
Are you still with me so far?
Caffeine quickly penetrates the skin working inside those layers to provide foundational support.
Because caffeine SQUUEEZZEESSS those blood vessels it also expels fat from localized fat cells .
yepppp… that’s right!
And it’s rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants protects your cells from free radicals and free radicals are molecules with unpaired electrons that straight up rob other cells of electrons that causes detriment in the Govi.
Laawwddd 😩 can I get some of this Peptide Caffeine in me!
Lol…
Okay peptide caffeine is not real, I don’t think 🤔. But there is a product I will share with you on Thursday that will be a great addition to your skin care routine.
But in the meantime and in-between time, go ahead and brew some fresh coffee, drink a cup, and use the coffee grounds for a skin tightening mask😷
and I’m not talking about COVID precautions but (since we’re on that topic)…. Stay Safe out there!!
